Social listening pioneer Synthesio, an AI-enabled consumer intelligence leader, released a groundbreaking solution: Topic Modeling, an AI-powered search engine that automatically scans, categorizes, and visualizes millions of online conversations with just a few clicks. Using Topic Modeling, consumer-defined themes can be detected, hidden phenomena or unknown phenomena can be uncovered, and trends can be analyzed more easily.

Benjamin Payet, Synthesio Product Director, said, “Topic Modeling is unique in the market given its design and development with Ipsos. In action, you simply point the AI engine at a defined data set and let it scan and categorize conversations into related themes. This allows you to explore online conversations through the lens of themes and AI-discovered topics, discover ‘authentic moments’ and associations – and view each individual post. The bottom-up approach can have a profound impact on the ways marketing and insights teams work.”

With Topic Modeling, Ipsos data scientists produce actionable insights from unstructured data by leveraging proven methodologies based on years of research. Through Topic Modeling beta versions, the company helped clients uncover topics and themes they never knew existed – and, in turn, identify new markets and innovations.

Topic Modeling will be available on Synthesio’s platform starting July 20th, with breakthrough improvements in data science. These additions include a new visualization that shows 115 times quicker than the beta version, a new treemap widget to quantify the results from Topic Modeling research, and the capacity to conduct studies on both online and offline data.
