Cloudentity has joined as a technology partner of Google Cloud’s API Management platform, Apigee, via the Google Cloud Partner Advantage program. For more rapid adoption and integration with Google Cloud services, the business will provide a simple, uniform approach to meet rising Open Banking regulations.
Design, safety, analysis, and expansion of application programming interfaces (API) are completely under the control of developers. Secure API management of Apigee and end-to-end solution and access management are merged in this partnership.
To provide safer Open Banking services and apps, Cloudentity provides a flexible and scalable solution to the new application authorization, consent, and identity management. These consent controls can be linked into an organization’s existing hybrid, multi-cloud, or micro-service framework. For high-value, sensitive data, the technique ensures ongoing approval and personal data privacy.
“As a trusted technology partner in Google Cloud’s Partner Advantage program, together Cloudentity and Google Cloud provide customers with a seamless solution for the rapidly growing Open Banking & embedded finance market,” said Zac Maufe, Managing Director of Global Financial Services Solutions at Google Cloud. “Financial organizations are tasked with meeting complex regulations and the safekeeping of valuable data, making it critical to have robust API management and API security capabilities to accelerate innovation, time-to-market and remain competitive.”
• The API management and security platform of Apigee will enable open banking providers to rapidly design, deploy, and manage sets of Open Banking APIs.
• Financial institutions can use the Cloudentity platform to manage service and app onboarding, as well as enable fine-grained authorization policies as code. This enables Open Banking providers to achieve hyper-scale transaction-level enforcement.
• Document Change Request (DCR) is automatically decoded with Cloudentity’s Authorisation Control Plane. After that, client requests are created and transmit the required OAuth client metadata to the integrated Apigee instance.
“This collaboration between Cloudentity and Google Cloud signals the maturation of the Open Banking market as we introduce innovative solutions to meet different regulations and empower Open Banking apps to speed up time-to-market,” said Jason Needham, CEO of Cloudentity. “Cloudentity and Google Cloud customers will be able to experience first-hand the speed, agility and added security that results from automating application identity and authentication for Open Banking.”
