A VPN is an essential component of IT security, whether you’re just starting a business or are already up and running. Most business interactions and transactions happen online and VPN

An Israeli startup focused on Next Generation (NG) Network Detection and Response (NDR), Cynamics has raised $7 million led by Marius Nacht, the co-founder of Checkpoint Software Technologies and one of Israel’s most prominent serial entrepreneurs, tech founders, and investors.

Eyal Elyashiv, co-founder and CEO, Cynamics, said: “Changing trends in networking architectures and the impact of the pandemic make networking infrastructures into complex, distributed topologies, which challenge network detection and response. As a result, CISOs are forced to compromise and monitor only a limited part of the network. This creates blind spots that result in security breaches. Cynamics offers a new paradigm that provides full network coverage based on analyzing only 1% of traffic and the ability to detect attacks and threats with the highest possible precision. Moreover, our solution predicts threats minutes before existing tools can – a critical time frame that can be the difference between smooth remediation and millions of dollars in recovery.”

The company developed a cybersecurity solution based on network samples. A tiny sample of the network (less than 1%) is collected from the main gateways, and the unique artificial intelligence (AI) technique is used to predict attacks and threats before they occur, using the full network (100%) as a reference. The customer is presented with an attack story that is automated, starting from the gateways, going through the network assets, and ending with pinpoint identification of compromised endpoints. This action triggers instantaneous mitigation, which is automatic and immediate.

A key foundation for its leadership in the North American cybersecurity industry is:

  • A customer base of over 80 institutions in the U.S. and Canada, including hospitals, cities, and local authorities, public safety agencies, and ISPs.
  • Expansion of existing partnerships and development of new partnerships with North American MSSPs.
