SAP, a market leader in enterprise application software, and Ducati, an Italian motorcycle manufacturing company, have entered a global partnership to utilize SAP’s innovative products and services to enhance Ducati’s customers’ experience. With this collaboration, SAP intends to help Ducati in creating a strong network of intelligent business with partners and suppliers by enhancing the digitalization of various processes. SAP will offer business insights and simplify technologies in a way that would help Ducati respond effectively to customer queries in a rapidly evolving global supply system.

Ducati’s desire to combine technology and innovation with improved customer experience is enabled by SAP’s expertise in machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), and advanced analytics. These technologies would allow Ducati to enrich its customers’ experience and to transform customers’ businesses into intelligent enterprises.

By combining our strengths and bringing all our innovative know-how with CX, Supply Chain and RISE with SAP, we could not be prouder to be on this business transformation journey together. Customer Experience today represents everything, and Ducati wants to put CX even more at the center of its operations”, commented Emmanuel Raptopoulos, President, EMEA South SAP. “The power and excellence of Ducati motorcycles, combined with the best of SAP innovation, are a winning combination”, added Emmanuel Raptopoulos.

SAP would also help Ducati in extending and integrating its digital supply chain through the SAP commerce cloud solution for online business management and SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) for agile supply chain planning. In addition to this, SAP also partnered with Ducati on the racing front and SAP became an official partner of the Ducati Lenovo team for the 2022 MotoGP season.

Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, said, “We rely heavily on innovation and technology to be at the forefront of our business processes, given our focus on product development”. He added, “Supply chains are increasingly complex and have been subject to transformation in recent years. Having a partner like SAP at our side will allow Ducati to make the supply chain even more flexible, reactive and integrated, connecting the needs of the “Ducatisti” better and better to the logic of supply and production”.
