Mavenir has unveiled the commercial availability of their Intelligent IoT Platform (IIoTP). The method analyses sensor data streams using artificial intelligence (AI). It gives real-time information and actionable data to organizations and communication service providers (CSPs).

A large number of sensors with different features are being deployed in order to meet the increasing 5G needs. Information can only be generated with near-real-time analysis and minimal delay. The application of AI and analytics on a wide scale has become essential.

The new solution can be used independently or can be used in combination with Intelligent Video Applications (IVA) and other artificial intelligence (AI) applications. It can also be used on any cloud or on-premises hardware, or to enable end-to-end use case-based, Internet of things (IoT) sensor data analytics. It connects to 2G/3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, and cellular networks, among other sensors.

To obtain low latency and lower data bandwidths, processing can be divided between the edge cloud and the centralized cloud. The platform is scalable enough to accommodate many sensors for end-to-end use case realization.
