Optimizely, a major digital experience platform (DXP) provider, has announced that its B2B Commerce Cloud and Content Cloud products will be combined. The integration makes it simple to use these two industry-leading tools together, allowing brands to reach audiences with more complex content strategies and collaborate more efficiently across huge marketing teams.

The connection makes B2B data and capabilities available within the Content Cloud by using the B2B Commerce Cloud as a headless commerce API. With the new integration, B2B customers who choose both the B2B Commerce Cloud, and the Content Cloud can now –
- Make use of the B2B Commerce Cloud’s B2B-specific capabilities.
- Use the Content Cloud to keep track of all of their site’s pages, templates, content, and assets.
- Make use of an out-of-the-box combined site search engine that searches the B2B Commerce catalogue for products while also searching the Content Cloud for content and merging the results.
- B2B Commerce is used to manage their product catalogue; however, the Content Cloud has all of the products ready for use.
Optimizely is also developing a B2B-specific sample site with multiple Content Cloud templates and blocks that can be used to assist clients to get the most out of the combined solutions by reducing build time. Customers can use the assets given or use them as samples before creating their own. The sample site will focus on the time-to-market measure, which is important to many B2B consumers when choosing technology vendors.
