Seoul Robotics, a company developing AI and deep learning techniques for autonomous systems, has announced the integration of its SENSR plug-in with Milestone Systems XProtect VMS. With this plug-in, Milestone VMS customers can access both 2D and 3D visuals within the XProtect dashboard, allowing them to understand activity within defined spaces while minimizing false positives.

HanBin Lee, CEO of Seoul Robotics, said, “Seoul Robotics was founded with the goal of bringing 3D data to the masses by making it scalable and affordable to adopt. Now that SENSR is integrated with XProtect, we are further accelerating the adoption of 3D systems in industries like the security that will benefit from this additional dimension of data and solve complex problems. Deep learning enables the most comprehensive and accurate 3D insights, and we are proud to be the first 3D deep learning partner for Milestone.”

With this new plug-in for the XProtect platform, 3D computer vision and its associated 3D sensors like LiDAR will be more accessible to camera integrators and will deliver a heightened sense of visibility.

A non-proprietary and highly flexible platform, SENSR is compatible with more than 75 types of sensors and can operate with multiple types of sensors in one cohesive platform. As a result of this plug-in, these systems can be seamlessly integrated with XProtect’s 2D video-based security systems so that both 2D and 3D views are available within one dashboard.

Users can create highly customized “zones,” areas where sensors and cameras are positioned to track and detect objects, occupancy, and speed. The XProtect platform displays these zones and movements on a map so the system manager can view live activity, change zones, and calibrate LiDAR sensors.

Upon detection of a violation, the system will set off an alarm and notify the appropriate contacts. The XProtect dashboard also offers customers the ability to view and download intuitive behavior reports, both historical and real-time.
