Industrial automation, software, infrastructure, transportation, and technology firm, Siemens, and artificial intelligence (AI) and accelerated graphics service provider NVIDIA make available industrial metaverse and enhance industrial automation using AI-driven digital twin technology. Siemens will link its open digital business platform Siemens Xcelerator with NVIDIA’s 3D design and collaboration platform NVIDIA Omniverse following the partnership. Organizations will be able to make business decisions quickly and accurately in the industrial metaverse featuring Siemens digital models and NVIDIA’s real-time AI.

Roland Busch, President, and Chief Executive Officer, Siemens AG said, “Photorealistic, physics-based digital twins embedded in the industrial metaverse offer enormous potential to transform our economies and industries by providing a virtual world where people can interact and collaborate to solve real-world problems. Through this partnership, we will make the industrial metaverse a reality for companies of all sizes. For over a decade, our digital twin technology has been helping customers across all industries to boost their productivity and today offers the industry’s most comprehensive digital twin. When Siemens Xcelerator is connected to Omniverse, we will enable a real-time, immersive metaverse that connects hardware and software, from the edge to the cloud with rich data from Siemens’ software and solutions.”

The use of digital twins that are used across production and product lifecycle to deliver efficiency and process improvement will get increased as a result of the inclusion of Omniverse in the Siemens Xcelerator partner ecosystem. With real-time performance data, digital twins, cutting-edge industrial IoT solutions, actionable insights from analytics at the edge or in the cloud, and increased accessibility to visually stunning, immersive simulations, businesses of all sizes will be able to take on tomorrow’s engineering challenges.

“Siemens and NVIDIA share a common vision that the industrial metaverse will drive digital transformation. This is just the first step in our joint effort to make this vision real for our customers and all parts of the global manufacturing industry. The connection to Siemens Xcelerator will open NVIDIA’s Omniverse and AI ecosystem to a whole new world of industrial automation that is built using Siemens’ mechanical, electrical, software, IoT and edge solutions,” stated Jensen Huang, founder and CEO, NVIDIA.

The industrial metaverse is made possible by this cooperation, which brings together complementing ecosystems and technology. The comprehensive digital twin from Siemens Xcelerator is best represented by NVIDIA Omniverse and AI. Full-fidelity live digital twins are made possible for the first time by AI-enabled, realistically simulated, and industrial-scale virtual world engine. NVIDIA Omniverse.
