Vertiv, a global leader in designing, building, and servicing critical infrastructure, released the latest update to its data center management platform, Vertiv Smart InfraSight. It is a web-based software that makes it easier to manage multiple IT devices through centralized monitoring and intelligence.
The Vertiv Smart InfraSight, which is now accessible throughout Asia, is made to improve Vertiv’s market-leading integrated micro data center solutions portfolio and add better analytics and multi-site management capabilities to managing edge infrastructure. The Vertiv Smart InfraSight’s most recent version has improved intelligence and can now control various IT devices. Furthermore, the crucial divide between a data center’s IT equipment and facilities infrastructure is closed by providing access and power consumption information via serial and IPMI connections on an upgraded single, intuitive dashboard.
“With the latest upgrade to the Vertiv Smart InfraSight, IT managers now have broader input of information from IT devices to critical infrastructure, providing granular visibility of their operations. This is especially powerful for management of multiple edge locations, easing the burden on IT managers in terms of operational resources, incident prevention and restoration if a service event happens,” said Wesley Lim, Senior Director for IT and Management Systems at Vertiv Asia Pacific.
In order to protect data centre investment, Vertiv combines engineered gateway appliances with its Smart InfraSight software, and professional services, and alerts users around the globe when there is a problem. This enables users to take corrective actions more quickly and with more accurate information. Moreover, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and thermal management performance, as well as environmental monitoring, humidity, and security, are all managed and monitored centrally by the Vertiv Smart InfraSight and shared with 3D visualisations for improved team visibility.
