Yugabyte Announces Integration with Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform Partner Ecosystem
A VPN is an essential component of IT security, whether you’re just starting a business or are already up and running. Most business interactions and transactions happen online and VPN

Yugabyte, a leading provider of distributed SQL database for cloud native applications, recently announced that it has joined the Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform ecosystem. Yugabyte is thrilled to announce a new, direct interface between YugabyteDB and Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics.

The traditional silos and difficulties of sharing transactional data between an analytics platform and a relational database management system (RDBMS) are eliminated via tight integration. Users will now be able to feed data changes from YugabyteDB into the Intelligent Data Platform with only one click, generating valuable insights from business-critical data.

Yugabyte will offer a single, consistent data ecosystem that enables enterprises to swiftly and effectively evaluate and act upon their data by combining YugabyteDB with Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics. Customers can now choose their desired Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and YugabyteDB folders and create the connection through a single, straightforward online portal. From there, they can query each folder using Synapse Analytics or other Microsoft Services.

“As businesses accelerate their modernization journeys, data is their most valuable asset. However, extracting full value from their data via the intelligent use of analytics requires continual access to business critical data. This is an enormous challenge for most organizations. A consistent data ecosystem is needed, providing tight integration that seamlessly connects systems and accelerates time to value. As a member of the Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform ecosystem, we can further help enterprises extract value from their data and embrace the journey to becoming data-driven organizations”, said Karthik Ranganathan, CTO and Co-Founder, Yugabyte.

Major benefits of this integration include:

  • Faster Time-to-Value: When building and managing data flows from transactional data to the analytics platform, customers can eliminate complexity and friction.
  • Elimination of data silos: Using the unified, flexible database for transactional applications from YugabyteDB, common data silos can be eliminated.
  • Democratized data-driven decisions: Users can significantly minimize the time and knowledge needed to fully leverage advanced, cloud-based analytics through a one-click integration.

Along with the native integration scheduled for release later this year, Microsoft and YugabyteDB users can get started right away by streaming updates from the YugabyteDB database into ADLS using YugabyteDB’s Change Data Capture (CDC) functionality. Customers can use Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI to query the data once it is in ADLS.
